“But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18 ESV)
“But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 1:5-8 NKJV).
Since growth is one of our core values, and since personal spiritual growth is foundational to growth in other areas, we believe it’s important to provide plenty of opportunities for everyone in our faith community to develop in their relationship with God. In the preaching at our weekly worship celebrations, and in Bible studies and mentoring groups throughout the week, we are constantly seeking to KNOW God’s Word through observation, to UNDERSTAND God’s Word through interpretation, and LIVE God’s Word through application.
Through the pursuit of INFORMATION, we are expecting and experiencing TRANSFORMATION.
Be sure to check out the sermons, and follow the links to the ministry pages, to see what we offer and how YOU can grow with us.
Jesus is our example at every point, but no one was better at valuing people than he was. He was warm toward complete strangers. He turned a disconnected group of fishermen and tax collectors into a community of devoted disciples. And He modeled relationship in a way that was not only compelling, it could be duplicated. We’re seeking to follow His pattern.
Here at Grace we operate under the premise that “you can’t impact people spiritually unless you are willing to connect with them relationally.” As our guest we believe you’ll find us to be a warm and welcoming congregation, and it won’t be just a pastor who greets you on Sunday morning. However, we take the connecting point seriously at other times of the week also. We spend time together in coffee shops, restaurants, and homes throughout Nampa and the Treasure Valley. We play golf together. We do scrap-booking together. We go bowling, play volleyball, and enjoy table-games together. We value friendship. We’re not more than a church, we are TRULY the church, as we’re building relationships and sharing life together. And the good thing about it — there’s always room for one more! So, bring yourself and/or your family, and come join our family!
Be sure to check out the Lifegroups link for more information on our small groups ministry.
“The Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many” (Matthew 20:28 ESV).
“Let each of you look not only to his own interests , but also to the interests of others” (Philippians 2:4 ESV).
Christianity is not just about being different, it’s about making a difference! In our experience there are few who want to come to church and simply warm a seat. Most people want to do something with their lives. To that end they offer themselves in service to God and other people.
Here are Grace we facilitate that desire by giving everyone the chance to do something. If you want to be on the janitorial team, minister to seniors in an assisted living facility, answer phones, make a meal, lead a group, sing a song, or run the sound while someone else sings, you can serve. Whatever your gift, wherever your passions, there are plenty of chances to be involved and make a difference.
